9.29.15 | THE PIE SESSIONS | @PALOMINO BAR | Session 5 of The Pie Sessions will be hands-on lesson in making cream pie filling. Yep, the most delicious creamy, cream pie filling just like you'd find in an old school diner. We will cover a basic cream filling that you can practice again at home and build upon with many, many different flavors. You'll be provided with a prepared crust so you can fill it up with your cream filling and take a pie home to eat later! No previous experience is needed and no need to have attended earlier sessions. All ingredients are included in the ticket price. We provide the tools. It's a fun night of pie making so bring your friends. Each person is also given a drink ticket for the bar because it is Wisconsin after all and we like to drink a beer while we do stuff. 10.6.15 | THE PIE SESSIONS | @ PALOMINO BAR | 6:30-8:30 | Session 1 - No Fear Crust Making | Learn the tricks to making your very own delicious pies with Valeri Lucks and Gabbie Lewin of Honeypie Cafe! In this hands-on class you will take home your own 6" mini pie at the end of each session. $25 per class - includes your ingredients for a 6" pie and a drink ticket for the bar (we encourage a nice cold beer during class). There will be lots of room for questions and answers so come with all your crust conundrums. Bring your friends for a fun night of pie talk! Session 1 of The Pie Sessions includes a hands-on lesson in making classic pie crust. We cover the how-to's as well as what pitfalls to avoid and the tricks to making a flaky, perfect crust. You will get to make your own dough, roll out your own crust for a 6" mini pie and then choose a fruit filling to finish up the pie with. We will bake the pies during class allowing some time for questions and answers and socializing with your new friends.
