9.8.15 | THE PIE SESSIONS | @PALOMINO BAR | 6:30-8:30 | Our third Pie Sessions class will build upon your previously gained pie knowledge.  We will spend our time talking about “old school” pies, Depression-era pies and pies that our grannies might have often made to cheer up a dinner party.  These will include pecan, chess and other baked custard pies.  The hands-on lesson in this class will include making a "Blind Crust" – so you'll get another chance to work on you pie crust!  This one we will fill with a delicious easy-to-make filling and you will learn a recipe & technique that you can use over and over again in a variety of ways.  Pies will be made during class, which will then allow for question and answer time and socializing with your pie pals.  Buy Tickets Here!

Mmm-mm!).  We will cover the how-to's as well as what pitfalls to avoid in making a yummy, yummy crust to fill with any number of delicious fillings.  You will get to make your own cookie crust and then we will fill it with a filling and bake it off for you.  There will be plenty of time for questions and answers and socializing with your new pie buddies while the pies bake.   In the end, you will have a delicious little pie to take home to show off your new pie making prowess. No previous pie experience needed.  Each person is provided a drink ticket for the bar because we are pretty sure pie making is a little more fun with a beer in hand.
