Celebrate Women’s History Month at “More Than March Dinner & Dance Party”

March is Women’s History Month, with International Women’s Day celebrated on March 8. During this month, it is essential to acknowledge and celebrate the women of the past whose contributions have significantly shaped history, culture, and society as we know it today. These contributions are often overlooked, yet they are crucial to our understanding of the world. Additionally, we should pay homage to the women in society today who are paving the way for future generations.

The theme for Women’s History Month 2026 is “Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future,” as set by the National Women’s History Alliance. According to the organization, the theme emphasizes not only environmental sustainability but also financial sustainability, community resilience, leadership succession, and intergenerational equity.

At Pie Inc., Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day are deeply meaningful, especially as a woman-owned small business. Here in Milwaukee, it is vital to uplift and support other women-owned businesses that help our community thrive.

Join us in celebrating these incredible businesses at “More than March! Women’s Month Dinner & Dance Party” on March 11 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., hosted by Women in the Field MKE, formerly known as Let’s Talk Womxn.

The event will feature food from several women-led food purveyors in Milwaukee, including:

In addition to incredible food, the event will also feature:

  • A music and dance party presented by DJ Femme Noir

  • Professional headshots by Class Act Lens

  • Tarot readings by Shannon

  • Henna by Hala

  • Live tattooing by Kelsey the Slasher

  • A vendor marketplace

  • And much more from local artists and vendors

For every ticket purchased, Women in the Field MKE will donate to a local nonprofit organization.

In honor of the women making a difference right here in Milwaukee during Women’s History Month, join us in celebrating these remarkable businesses and community leaders.
